In the framework of Russian President Putin’s visit to Belgrade Power Machines and Serbian Electrical Facilities signed an agreement regarding cooperation on Djerdap-2 HPP modernisation with capacity increase.

Power Machines handles huge reconstruction of Djerdap-2 HPP and is ready to join the process of technical refurbishment of other objects in Serbia.
Djerdap-2 HPP is situated on Danube river in the north part of Serbia about 260 km from Belgrade and 12 km from Negotin. There are 10 horizontal capsular hydroelectric sets (eight sets at the main HPP and two at the subordinate). Major water equipment for the hydroelectric sets at the main HPP was produced by the branches of Power Machines – Leningrad Metal Work and Elektrosila in 1983–1985.

Earlier Power Machines executed a contract on regulation systems modernisation of all ten turbines of Djerdap-2 HPP. Power machines contract obligations included equipment for hydro turbines automatic control modernisation design and supply, as well as works on supervision installation, starting-up and adjustment and installed equipment trials.
